It's demolition weekend in our house. No, it's not that we're upset about the spring snow, though we are; rather, we're starting to remodel our first floor bathroom. We've learned so much through the master bathroom remodel that we think we can do this one ourselves...with some help from a few professionals.
We spent yesterday evening tearing up the laminate, attempting to remove 30-year old linoleum, stripping the walls to the studs, and removing a million drywall screws and nails. We made the unfortunate discovery that the toilet has been leaking. That makes all three toilets. :-( On the bright side, the wiring seems to be mostly favorable for George. He's going to be doing the electrics...starting today, in fact.
Stay tuned for our progress...

Spring Surprises
Homeownership has given us plenty of unwanted surprises. This spring, however, we've gotten some pleasant surprises in our yard. It's our first spring here, so we're discovering plenty of things in our garden that were either not here or hidden when we moved in. I snapped a few shots while I was gardening last week (over spring break!).
It's too bad the photos of the cherry blossoms in the front yard didn't turn out. Nonetheless, enjoy the purple beauties and a brand new baby fern!
